#OakFire | Small Fire Burns in San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County | A vegetation fire broke out on November 29, 2017, in the South Yucaipa/Oak Glen area.  The lead agency is CAL FIRE – BDU.

Here is a timeline for this incident.

1333 hours PST

At the start of the fire CAL FIRE released that they were fighting the wildfire that was at 20 acres.  Fire behavior was moderate with one structure threatened.

A full response of aircraft and additional resources from CAL FIRE were being assisted by the San Bernardino National Forest.

The fire has been named #OakFire

Yucaipa Police stated they had closed Oak Glen Road between Oak Crest Road and Wild Wood Canyon due to the fire moving North.  All lanes have been shutdown.

1543 hours PST

Equipment on-scene included 22 engines, 6 hand crews, 4 water tenders, 5 bulldozers, 4 air tankers, 3 helicopters and 1 air attack.

1612 hours PST

Resources assigned to this incident are CAL FIRE – BDU, San Bernardino NF, CAL FIRE -RRU and San Bernardino County Fire.

1618 hours PST

The fire has burned 35 acres and 3 structures were threatened.  An additional closure from Wildwood Canyon to Pine Bench was announced by CAL FIRE.

1627 hours PST

The Oak Fire is located off of Oak Glen Road and Pine Bench Road and just east of Oak Glen, California.   The fire has reached 50 acres.  The containment status is unknown at this time.
